KP2AE at 51 miles and K4CSO at 53 miles, both had almost instant 10+dB increases in their SSB signal strength received at W4DEX.  The increase would last for around 10 seconds, then slowly fade back into the noise.  Even at this short distance, with power level of ~100 watts and high angle antennas, there appears to no ground wave signal.  Therefor, the signal increased were likely due to turbulence in both the D and F2 ionosphere layers.
