Today's pre net testing again yielded NO correlation to the solar wind, Density or D layer absorption, as the cause of QSB
The Solar wind remained fairly constant for the entire 1 hour test
The Density remained fairly constant for the entire test
The GOES 16 magnetometer reading reminded constant  from 100nt to 101nt the entire test period

I took some liberty today and used the 66 line on the chart recording as the baseline point. to try and keep the numbers all relevant. DEX did a great job increasing the gif graph larger today.  There is one extra transmission at 1518 ut which was me transmit by mistake, so we have purged that signal from the graph .  The Blue line is the signal level as received @W4DEX receiving station from WW8II full legal limit transmitted CW carrier every 2 minutes on the odd minutes.
The red line is the D layer absorption in db
The magnetometer was steady during the test @ 110 to 111nt the entire testing time
The solar wind was 526km/s, PHI 279 Density 7.71p/cm3 with little change the entire testing time
Also of note there was a C3.24 flare that started @ 1601ut  peaked at 1621ut and ended @ 1648ut  this was before the pre-net testing This flare created a 17db D layer absorption below 2 MHz at the peak.
I still see no correlation as to the QSB vs solar wind ,,density or D layer absorption or the magnetic field measured by GOES 16 .. We need to find a way to know the Ionosphere layers movement, and I do not know where to get that data.. The closest data point is the Ionagrams  that the US Air Force does.   I am still not completely sure this will tell us what we need
That data for today from Alpena MI  Lat 45.07 Long 276.44:
