DST -5
We found propagation rather poor today at all latitudes from Minnesota to Florida. Even the KØAWU - KGØVL path wasn't useable some of the time on SSB. WW8II on CW was barely detectable at W4DEX. There was a lot of QSB on the short paths with a few very unusual good peaks. AB4AM reported, " KP2AE 57 SSB out of nowhere!!!"
KGØVL's CW transmission was barely detectable at W4DEX most of the time. However, there was one, maybe two, near instantaneous peaks that have been reported on various paths over the past year. Lightning has been suspected as to cause this but no strikes on the lightning maps coincided with the peaks. But the lightning map detectors only indicate cloud to ground strikes.
