We had several DX SSB QSOs and many DX CW receptions today.  QSB on distant paths was minimum while we saw several fast deep fades on the shorter paths.

Over the past 22 months of our daytime test, there have been multiple reports of quick bursts of signal enhancement. Some of these bursts occurred during transmission to weak to detect other than during the burst.  Below is an example that occurred today while K5HFG was transmitting as heard by W4DEX.  The first part of the recording below is KGØVL ending his two-minute CW sequence.  Then K5HFG started his two-minute transmission at 17:37 UT.  K5HFG's signal was not heard at W4DEX other than the burst that occurred at 17:37:14 UT.

• The 98 mile path between W2AZQ and W4DEX was poor today with signals going into the noise at times.  
• WW8II/4 operating from the QTH of AB4AM was also much weaker than normal at W1AC and W4DEX.
• KGØVL on CW was fair copy at W4DEX although KGØVL had difficult copy on W4DEX.
