PRE NET TEST 11-27-2022
Start 1600ut End 1630ut
WW8II transmits a 5-7 second 1KW CW carrier with ID every 1 minute
W4DEX receives and records the signal using Spectrum Lab a 510 mile path
WW8II NOTES:
1600ut D layer 1.5db, Solar event B5.66
1605ut D layer 1.5db, Solar event B5.66
1610ut D layer 1.0db, Solar event B5.61
1615ut D layer 1.0db, Solar event B5.58
1620ut D layer 1.5db, Solar event B5.68
1625ut D layer 1.5db, Solar event B5.78
1630ut D layer 1.5db, Solar event B5.66
Observation from regular net data today, the ionosphere layers were possibly higher above the earth surface than normal. Allowing a 808 mile path on SSB and CW and the 510 mile path was not being heard. Another observation is that the QSB could also be a result of the Ionosphere oscillating in height.
Solar wind @1600ut was 465 km/s and the Density was 9.13p/cm3
Solar wind @1630ut was 465 km/s, and the Density was 9.03p/cm3
also noted 3 Coronal holes that may be dumping lots of energy
