Good but variable propagation continued today. The geomagnetic field was still unsettled and the solar wind speed was around 500 km/sec.
Recently propagation on the more distant path between KGØVL and the southeastern stations has been much better than the shorter, more northern WW8II path. For the past year, the shorter WW8II path was much better than what we have seen lately. KGØVL was copied on SSB by KP2AE, WA4LDU, W4DCL, and W4DEX.
Today K5HFG reported several of those quick bursts of signal that have been heard by multiple stations over the past year. The closest thunderstorms were well over 1000 miles to the southeast in the Caribbean.
