Propagation today seems to have recovered some compared to the past few days.  KG0VL was good CW copy at W4DEX and heard by KP2AE and K4FI.  SSB was weak but good enough at times for a complete Q5 exchange.

K5HFG was very good CW copy at KGØVL.  Link to the audio file below:
K5HFG received by KG0VL

During K5HFG's two-minute transmission one stong instantaneous ping signal was heard at W4DEX.  KP2AE also heard this signal. This type of very quick signal enhancement has been heard multiple times by several operators.  There were thunderstorms about 50 miles SE of K5HFG at the time. The storms were not very strong with cloud tops around 35k feet.
K5HFG CW Blip at W4DEX

17:33 KG0VL-JEFF: Can just barely hear W4DEX now on SSB

17:36 W4DEX-DEX: KP2AE and K4FI good stable 57

17:41 W4DEX-DEX: KG0VL 559 with on quick 579 peak

17:45 K4FI-DOUG: Copied KG0VL up and down in the noise, weak today.

17:47 KG0VL-JEFF: W4DEX Q5 but weak on CW now

17:47 K5HFG: W4DEX is 519 and faded. Still, hear his CW but now no copy

17:53 K5HFG: KG0VL good copy for a report.  Fade to noise on at last.  Was a good exchange

18:01 KG0VL-JEFF: W4DEX right at the noise level on SSB now, much unlike the past few weeks.
