We had very little activity today due to thunderstorms in the Southeast and the MIA stations attending Hamcation in FL. Even so, propagation was good enough to earn the light green date above.
While the KGØVL to KØAWU path was down from normal KGØVL's signal at W4DEX was very good. Copy was marginal due to static crashes. Audio file of KGØVL as heard at W4DEX:
======================================================================
17:28 W4DEX-DEX: I won't be transmitting today. Thunderstorm headed our way. Just starting to hear thunder
17:32 W4DEX-DEX: KG0VL 5x6
17:33 K0AWU-BILL: KG0VL 5-3 SSB not very good for our path
17:36 W4DEX-DEX: KG0VL down to 5x3 on last transmission
17:32 W4DEX-DEX: KG0VL 5x6
17:33 K0AWU-BILL: KG0VL 5-3 SSB not very good for our path
17:36 W4DEX-DEX: KG0VL down to 5x3 on last transmission
17:38 KG0VL-JEFF: KØAWU 559 on peaks then gone completely and back up again.
17:39 W4DEX-DEX: K0AWU not heard
17:41 W4DEX-DEX: KG0VL initially 579 slow fade to 549 then was coming back up until something happen?

17:45 K0AWU-BILL: KG0VL -- entire seq was fine -- no unexplained issues
17:46 W4DEX-DEX: Had several power hits.....turned off radio.....will see what was recorded later
